ARTBURN 2017
ARTBURN is an exhibition that documents the high calibre work produced by Studio Art students from Blackburn High School. The collection of works represent the dierentiated styles, techniques and conceptual frameworks each artist has worked through to produce powerful works that communicate individual ideas, techniques and aesthetic styles developed throughout their studies. Art works range from text, sculpture, textiles, installation, collage, photography, video, sound and performance art.
The exhibition has been designed to give students the opportunity to exhibit their work in an innovative and professional gallery context with a focus on the installation process. The curator has directly collaborated with students to install their own work; highlighting their understanding of and experience of installation and the presentation of artworks within an arts industry context.
